IBEW Local 840
Letter To Members
Short Meeting and Christmas Luncheon
Dear local 840 Retiree and Spouse,
At our September meeting it was decided to have a short meeting and a Christmas luncheon at our December 10 11 o’clock meeting. The members present voted to have a quick meeting and then to have lunch provided by the members present at the meeting. We are asking for the members who attend to bring a dish of your choice to pass for lunch (beverage will be provided). After and during lunch it will be a great time to renew friendships and tell stories.
At our September meeting we had two new members join us, Paul Schroeder and Tony Blondell.
Discussions at the meeting were on the large turnover of Business Managers in New York, possibility of a 13th retiree check (that would be a trustee decision, our club will lobby for it), ongoing political bills, approval of the club’s Bylaws, consent of members to be added to a call sheet for sharing information and a report by the Apprentice Director Mike Smith on an upcoming project to expand the apprenticeship training facility.
The executive board of the club was elected and consist of Dave Mott, Mike Mahar Tony and Gene Blondell and John tricky.
Hope to see all at the December Christmas meeting.
Fraternally and Sincerely,
Larry
