The Geneva Electrical JATC 's goal is to provide contractors with the best trained electricians In the electrical industry. Our apprenticeship program is a unique opportunity to “earn while you learn” with on-the-job training, and tuition-free classroom training.
The IBEW Local 840 supplies skilled labor to each of its signatory contractors in the Finger Lakes region. LU 840 represents roughly 400 hard-working men and women in parts of Cayuga, Onondaga, Ontario, Seneca, Wayne and Yates counties.
Local 840 referral office is located at 1401 ROUTE 5 & 20. Our members can use our website to submit their online referral & resign. Referral is completed between the 10th and 16th of each month.
IBEW Local 840 Jurisdiction:
Serving Cayuga County -All towns except Genoa, Ira, Victory, Locke, Sempronius and Summerhill. Onondaga County – Elbridge and Skaneateles. Ontario County – Canandaigua, Geneva, Gorham, Hopewell, Manchester, Phelps and Seneca. Seneca County – All towns except Covert and Lodi. Wayne County – Arcadia, Galen, Lyons and Savannah. The International Brotherhood of Electrical Workers (IBEW) is co-sponsored by the IBEW Local 840 and the National Electrical Contractors Association (NECA) Finger Lakes NY Chapter (FLNECA).
The Finger Lakes Chapter member firms are located through Upstate New York in the Central and Finger Lakes region..
